Dear Parents,
The Martian Marathon is coming to Dearborn on Saturday, April 9th and we want all students to get active and start running! Running Fit came to Maples last Friday for an assembly to tell students about the race and they are excited! In order to participate, each child needs to run a total of 25 miles between now and April 9th. On April 9th, all the kids will run the last 1.2 miles of their marathon together!
After finishing the race, all kids will receive a marathon medal and healthy snack bag. All kids will also receive a cool race tee shirt.
This year we have set up TWO teams for Maples! All students must register online. Please be sure to use the correct link for your child.
Girls Running Club (4th & 5th Grade only) register using the following link:

Once students register, they can get a running log from Mrs. Wolski or Mrs. Wozniak and start recording their miles!
Remember adults, this day isn’t just for the kids! We want everyone in the family to come out to run or walk one of the other events earlier in the morning. Maples staff will be out there too!
