As you may, or may not be aware, the City of Dearborn, along with several other organizations including our schools and students, are taking part in a city wide project called “THE BIG READ”.
The city was awarded a grant and basically the goal is to get everyone in the city reading “Call of the Wild” by Jack London. Beginning on March 8 and lasting through the end of May there will be many activities and events taking place in the city related to this story.
FYI- One of the projects associated with The Big Read is to print “newspaper quality” versions of the story, in both English and Arabic, and distribute them to every resident in the city. Illustrations for this version of the book are being done by Dearborn Public Schools students.
