I have attached four (4) very important documents that I want to share with the entire community.
The first document (written in English) is to parents and community leaders and informs them on an emerging crime trend involving and adversely impacting our youth. The second document is an Arabic translation of the same letter.
Third, please find (written in English) a flyer advising citizens how to sign up for NIXLE alerts. The fourth document is the Arabic translation for NIXLE.
Currently, we have more than 7,400 subscribers to NIXLE free of charge. The alerts are important to provide citizens with real time safety measures that include traffic delays, weather concerns, crime prevention tips, and wanted persons.
I am requesting that you share this critical information with all our citizens by posting on-line or in your newsletters. It is my hope that we can reach our youth so that one lapse in judgment does not impact their future. This is also an excellent time to encourage our students to work hardon their grades heading into the end of this school year.
