Dear Maples Families,
Maples fifth graders enjoyed the “In school Native American Field Trip” on Friday, February 13, 2015 (last day before the mid winter break). This is an educational event that illustrated the life of peoples, specifically Native Americans living in North America before European exploration. The event displayed and discussed many household tools, different types of shelters, ornaments and attires, war gears, ways of transportation, etc… It also compared and contrasted the different ways Native Americans have adapted to their cultural regions.
