Greetings Maples families,
FRUIT AND VEGETABLE GRANT starts today at Maples.
Dearborn Public Schools is one of the districts that participate in the Fruit and vegetable Grant. Maples is one of 68 schools in the state to benefit from this program provided by the US Dept. of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service.
The purpose of this program is to help children develop healthy eating habits and choices and expand the consumption of fruits and vegetables. A fruit or vegetable snack will be provided to each of Maples students daily. Please encourage your child to continue to develop healthier food choices which is known to make a difference in their diet and impacts their present and future health.
