Dear Parents,

Students can not be dismissed from class after 3:00. Teachers are finishing daily lessons, assigning homework and completing planners and can not stop to prepare individual students to leave. Please plan accordingly and not make appointments until the school day is over. It is important that we allow students to begin the day and end the day with the teacher in order to take advantage of every valuable instructional minute.

If a student is being picked up for an appointment earlier in the afternoon (before 3:00) please write a note in the student planner so the teacher can have the student’s planner and homework ready. This will cause less distraction in the classroom and speed up your child’s dismissal.Please understand, we will not call a student to the office until you arrive at the office. Again, instruction time is important and students should not be wasting time waiting in the office. Please allow enough time to come into the office and the secretary will call the classroom. If you write a note in the planner, the teacher can have the student ready to come down as soon as the office calls.
